John HartmanDirector, Project Control Systems, CH2M Hill – OPSIG Chair
John Hartman is Global Project Controls Director in the Transportation Business Group at CH2M, a global leader in consulting, design, design-build, operations, and program management.

Hartman has been a project controls professional for more than 20 years and has led project controls teams in both the public and private sectors of the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. He has extensive experience throughout the project lifecycle, from early conceptual planning through design/engineering to construction and operation of an asset. Hartman has a BS in industrial studies/construction management from Moorhead State University (Minnesota) and is a Certified Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) with the Association for Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE). He is an active member of AACE, the Project Management Institute (PMI), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), and the Project Management College of Scheduling (PMCOS). Hartman’s Primavera experience includes Primavera P6 Professional & EPPM, Primavera Contract Management, Unifier, OPPM, Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA/Pertmaster).

Ben E. VoivedichPlanning and Scheduling Manager, Superior Energy Services, Inc – OPSIG Co-Chair
Ben is a Planning and Scheduling Manager at Superior Energy Services, Inc. He has 30 years of project management related experience working in the oil, gas, power, and petrochemical industries as a project manager, planner, scheduler, trainer, and consultant. He was the first PMP in Louisiana in 1995 and have served in various officer positions for PMI chapters and SIGs. He was a founding board member for the PMI Oil & Gas SIG in 1998. He has written numerous articles over the years and been a speaker at conferences on Project Management related topics including Planning and Scheduling.
Tom KeyConstruction Schedule Analyst, Motive Power – OPSIG Secretary
Tom is a construction schedule analyst at Motive Power. He is a registered architect, and licensed building contractor, and has spent the last 20 years managing major construction projects, including Prison, Hospitals and College Campuses.
Currently he is managing the construction schedules for over 120 electrical substation construction projects totaling approximately $250 million. Additionally he has served on the Board of Habitat For Humanity Fresno County as President for ten years, and served on the Board of the American Institute of Architects – San Joaquin as Vice President and President.
Michael HughesContract Management Engineer, City of Durham, Depart of Public Works – Communications & Marketing Coordinator
Mr. Hughes currently is a Contract Management Engineer for the Department of Public Works, City of Durham, North Carolina.
During 2007-2009 he was been one of the principal members of a team which implemented Primavera Contract Manager and Project Scheduling (P6) Software for projects the Department of Public Works for use on Construction and Consulting Contracts. He has given numerous papers at APWA, OUAG, and Oracle OpenWorld conferences on the Primavera deployment at the Durham Department of Public Works, including the interfaces that the team developed to ERSI GIS, and other applications.

While using primavera on job sites working for Kiewit Corporation, he also taught Planning and Scheduling primavera lab at Arizona State University while attending his Maters in engineering program. While Director of Scheduling for Kiewit Corporation, Alexander had the challenge of converting an scattered environment of 300+ databases across multiple versions, to 3 databases with a consistent version with mostly in-house resources. He managed the implementation, training, support, system build, and overall business process planning and standardization efforts. While learning both the technical side and the usage of the application he was able to excel in the technology world. Alexander’s experience with both application usage as well as how the technology works, make him a great resource on analytics. He has experience building analysis in P6 analytics, and also consuming the dashboards from the project management perspective.
