John FisherNPUG Chair
Business Systems Consultant, Arizona Public Service Company, Palo Verde Nuclear Generation Stations

As a Business Systems Consultant, in the Work Management Department (WMD), John has over 35 years of project controls experience spanning electrical utilities (both nuclear & fossil), pulp & paper manufacturing, and the petrochemical industries. Experiences include planning & scheduling, cost analysis, operations, and maintenance, with the majority of time in the planning & scheduling in the outage/shutdown environment. Software he’s used include Primavera P6, Pipeline’s Syntempo & Maxavera, QLIKVIEW, ARTEMIS Project View, PREMIS, PROJECT/2, MicroSoft Projects and a variety of support software such as MS Office Pro and Adobe. Prior to John severing as the Chair of the Nuclear Primavera Users Group (NPUG) he served as VP of the ARTEMIS Users Association (AUA) and as the AUA Southwest Chapter Chairperson helping to coordinate their annual conference and leading discussions and presentations.

Gordon CashmoreNPUG Vice-Chair
IT Operations at Southern Nuclear Company

Gordon has over 25 years in IT system support, development, engineering, and project management. Gordon has been certified in multiple technologies. and is currently working on his PM certification. For the past 5 years Gordon has been Lead Technical Analyst for the 5 separate Primavera instances within Southern Company. Those instances are supporting their Nuclear, Transmission, Enterprise Systems, and Engineering and Construction Services business units. Gordon has been the lead in multiple upgrades of these systems starting with version 7.3 up to and including the current 16.2 P6 versions. He is also the technical project lead on the integrations and interfaces that are supported in those instances.

Gordon has attended NPUG meetings for the past 4 years and currently serves as the Nuclear Primavera Users Group Vice Chair.

Debra RuizNPUG Secretary
Outage Scheduling Supervisor, Pacific Gas & Electric, Diablo Nuclear Station

Debbie Ruiz has worked at Diablo Canyon for over 28 years, 27 of those years in Outage Management and Work Control. Experiences include programming, scheduling, and analysis, system administrator for Primavera and Syntempo, and supervising Outage Scheduling team. She has been heavily involved with all work management software implementations and upgrades. These include SAP, Primavera, Pipeline’s Maxavera & Syntempo, and Knowledge Relay reporting tools. Debbie serves as the Secretary for Nuclear Primavera Users Group (NPUG) and a member of Issues and Resolution Committee (IRC). The IRC works closely with Oracle to identify and prioritize resolution of issues with the Primavera scheduling software.

Geoff Roberts is a Chartered Cost Engineer with more than 35 years of experience in all aspects of project management & project controls. He has been with Oracle CEGBU for 17 years and is currently Director, Strategy (Energy), providing strategic direction, domain expertise and insight around Asset Intensive industries and how they operate to both internal and external customers.
In addition he provides input into the solutions Oracle deliver to their customers ensuring what they offer is best in class and able to support how these organizations deliver projects to time, cost, quality, safely from inception thru scope definition, FID approval, execution, operations and decommissioning.

Tom RaymondIssues Resolution Committee (IRC) Co-Chair

Tom Raymond began his career in the nuclear navy and has over thirty-five years of diversified management, supervisory and hands-on experience in Maintenance, Outage Management and Work Management; serving Electrical Generating Utilities and Industrial clients. As the corporate Program Manager for the Fleet Outages organization at FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. (FENOC), Tom is responsible for providing direction, governance and oversight to Site Outage Managers and Outage Scheduling Supervisors from Beaver Valley, Davis-Besse and Perry. He develops and maintains administrative procedures related to the outage management process, and provides oversight by coordinating and leading refueling outage readiness assessments across the FENOC Fleet. Tom is additionally responsible for managing FENOC’s implementation of Knowledge Relay’s Information Visualizer (schedule related report writing software), Pipeline Software’s Maxavera (SAP to Primavera integration tool), and Oracle’s Primavera (P6 scheduling software). He has also served as Project Manager for the fleet’s conversion from P3 to P5 (which included an interface between SAP and Primavera P5), from P5 to P6.1, from P6.1 to P6R8.3, and during the summer of 2017 – will lead the fleet upgrade from P6R8.3 to P6R16.2. Among his contributions to the industry, Tom serves as steering committee member for the Nuclear Primavera Users Group, which works closely with Oracle to identify and prioritize resolution of issues with the scheduling software.

Bruce Gordon
Bruce Gordon, Client Services Manager, Arizona Public Service Company, Palo Verde Nuclear Generation Stations
Bruce Gordon has been at the Palo Verde Generating station for 33 years and held positions in Maintenance, Work Management (Outage and Online Scheduling) and IT. In the current role as IT Client Manager since 2008 the position is primarily a cultivator of customer engagement and relationships; and acts as a bridge between the line-of-business (LOB) and Information Technology. In addition, it provides project oversight for developing and implementing IT enabled business process optimization that delivers power plant business results.

-Nuclear Information Technology Strategic Leadership (NITSL) – Currently on the Executive Committee – served as Vice-Chair and Chairman 2014-2016
-Nuclear Primavera Users Group (NPUG) – Steering Committee Member

Tamara Nitsch
Scheduler, Wolfe Creek Nuclear Station

Tamara has 29 years nuclear experience with 17 of that in Work Management as an On-line Scheduler. She was on the team to transition WCNOC from Artemis Project View to Primavera 6 and she’s also involved in the testing & implementation of new versions of Primavera at her site. She works closely with the Work Week Managers and is responsible for issuing the on-line Plan-of-the-day and schedules. She also represents WCNOC on the Issue Resolution Committee.

Mark Bode
Work Week Manager, PSEG Nuclear, Salem Station

Mark has over 35 years nuclear and work management experience. He has been at PSEG Nuclear in Work Management for 20 years, serving a variety of roles. He’s currently a Work Week Manager setting up work weeks for execution week. He was also the line of business lead on the transition from P3 to P6, and implementation of Pipeline programs Maxivera and Syntempo.
Mark, former NPUG Vice Chair and chair of the Issue Resolution Committee, he currently serves as a NPUG steering committee member.
